Unser Buch Radwandern Deutschland Süd umfasst neben den Touren in Baden Württemberg (Tour 8-29) und Bayern (Tour 30-60) auch Ausflüge im Rheingau, dem Vordertaunus, zum Vogelsberg, zur Rhön und in die Pfalz (Tour 1-7). Ein wichtiges Kriterium bei der Tourenauswahl war, eine größtmögliche Vielfalt vorzustellen. Das betrifft sowohl den Schwierigkeitsgrad der Touren, die Länge, den Schwerpunkt der Touren, ob also das Natur- oder das Kulturerlebnis im Vordergrund steht, als auch die Auswahl der Regionen. So werden Touren wie etwa im Schwarzwald ebenso vorgestellt wie die klassischen Fluss-Radwege entlang von Neckar, Main, Inn oder Isar. Aber wir nehmen Sie auch mit zu unbekannteren oder ganz neu konzipierten Touren in entlegenere Regionen. So wollen wir Ihnen Lust aufs Radeln machen und beim Entdecken der Vielfalt im Süden Deutschlands Ideen geben.
Die Gesamtlänge aller in diesem Buch vorgestellten 60 Touren beträgt rund 2.900 Kilometer, Varianten und Ausflüge sind dabei nicht eingerechnet. Die meisten Touren sind zwischen 35 und 55 Kilometer lang. Die längste Tour ist mit 85 Kilometern von sportlich ambitionierten Radfahren gut zu bewältigen. Genussradler können diese bzw. die insgesamt 18 etwas längeren Touren – zwischen 60 und 85 Kilometern – auch als Zwei-Tages-Ausflüge planen oder zum Teil abkürzen. Die vier sehr kurzen Touren – um die 20 Kilometer lang – bieten ausreichend Zeit für Pausen und Besichtigung der vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Our book Radwandern Deutschland Süd includes tours in Baden Württemberg (tour 8-29) and Bavaria (tour 30-60) as well as excursions in the Rheingau, the Vordertaunus, the Vogelsberg, the Rhön and the Palatinate (tour 1-7). An important criterion when choosing a tour was to present the greatest possible variety. This affects both the level of difficulty of the tours, the length, the focus of the tours, whether the focus is on nature or culture, and the selection of the regions. Tours such as those in the Black Forest are presented as well as the classic river bike paths along the Neckar, Main, Inn or Isar. But we also take you to more unknown or completely redesigned tours to more remote regions. We want to make you want to cycle and give you ideas when discovering the diversity in southern Germany.
The total length of all 60 tours presented in this book is around 2,900 kilometers, variants and excursions are not included. Most tours are between 35 and 55 kilometers long. The longest tour is easy to master with 85 kilometers of sporty cycling. Leisure cyclists can plan these or the 18 somewhat longer tours - between 60 and 85 kilometers - as two-day trips or shorten them in part. The four very short tours - around 20 kilometers long - offer enough time for breaks and sightseeing of the many sights.
