In the preface of the Guida Monti d’Italia, in the volume dedicated to the Lagorai Cima d’Asta, the author Mario Corradini opens his writing with a brief but solemn thought: “it is impossible not to fall in love with the Lagorai-Cima d’Asta”. I believe it is true. The Lagorai is a mountain range of wild and captivating beauty. Numerous peaks appear as high and soaring rocky pyramids, which hint at absolutely attractive and non-trivial climbs. For lovers of summit hiking, it is the perfect group! The peaks are numerous, they seem to never end and all are extraordinarily beautiful and elegant. Very often, to reach the most impervious and wild peaks, to proceed safely on steep and exposed terrain, it is necessary to use a rope. Excursions, therefore, that will interest even the most demanding hiker. The exploration of this chain will be a succession of adventures along ridges and ridges at the edge of the sky, on these peaks as beautiful as they are forgotten and wild.
This first volume (of three) concerns the westernmost chain of the group with the description of the normal routes to 108 peaks and the proposal of 31 itineraries to climb them all.
