Estese sul vasto territorio montuoso compreso fra il Lago d’Iseo a ovest e il Lago d’Idro a est, le Prealpi Bresciane costituiscono il settore occidentale delle Prealpi Lombarde Orientali. Si tratta di montagne che offrono ampie possibilità escursionistiche per tutto l’anno, con panorami che si spingono dalle alte vette del Monte Rosa fino alle più basse cime dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano.

Nonostante le quote modeste, le cime delle Prealpi Bresciane permettono di soddisfare sia le preferenze degli escursionisti che le esigenze degli alpinisti, in particolare nel periodo invernale quando le vette più elevate offrono interessantissime traversate di cresta, salite lungo canali o pendii adatti allo scialpinismo all’insegna della libertà.

Nella mezza stagione i numerosi itinerari che si snodano fra le cime e le valli a nord della città di Brescia offrono occasioni per tutti i gusti: dai facili sentieri alle vie ferrate, dalle falesie alle pareti di arrampicata, il tutto in un ambiente di rigogliosi boschi appena fuori dalla città.

Stretching across the vast mountainous territory between Lake Iseo to the west and Lake Idro to the east, the Brescia Prealps constitute the western sector of the Eastern Lombard Prealps. These mountains offer ample hiking opportunities all year round, with views that range from the high peaks of Monte Rosa to the lowest peaks of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

Despite their modest altitudes, the peaks of the Brescia Prealps satisfy both the preferences of hikers and the needs of mountaineers, especially in the winter when the highest peaks offer very interesting ridge crossings, climbs along canals or slopes suitable for ski mountaineering in the name of freedom.

In mid-season, the numerous itineraries that wind through the peaks and valleys north of the city of Brescia offer opportunities for all tastes: from easy paths to via ferratas, from cliffs to climbing walls, all in an environment of lush woods just outside the city.
