Bis ins 16. Jahrhundert stand der Olav-Kult in Skandinavien dem berühmten Jakobsweg in nichts nach – fast alle Wege führten zum Grab des heiligen Königs. After a break of almost 500 years, the old Königsweg, also known as Gudbrandsdalsleden, was revived in 1997 and in 2010 was named the European Cultural Route.
