Il Lago di Como è a detta degli esperti uno dei luoghi turistici più acclamati del globo. Grazie alla loro posizione geografica, al clima favorevole e alla bellezza dell’ambiente in cui sono immersi, è difficile resistere alla seduzione di questi luoghi. Una vera oasi di bellezza dove storia, arte, cultura, natura e cibo si fondono perfettamente per creare un’armonia unica. I profili dei monti che affondano direttamente nel lago e l’avvicendarsi delle stagioni, scandito da colori e usanze, infondono una sensazione di pace e di dolce nostalgia. Una sensazione che va colta al ritmo lento del camminare. È questo che l’autore propone nella selezione dei 60 itinerari escursionistici nel territorio così detto del Lario Occidentale. Questa sponda comprende un’area montuosa identificata da confini naturali e politici: a est il Lago, a ovest la Svizzera, da sud a nord la città di Como, fino al confine della provincia stessa nel comune di Sorico. In un territorio che si estende dalle Prealpi Comasche-Luganesi all’estremo settore orientale delle Alpi Lepontine, le escursioni vanno dai 200m del lago fino ai 2400m del Sasso Canale. Gli itinerari sono proposti in sequenza numerica, da sud a nord, così da permettere un’immediata consultazione. Ogni singolo itinerario è stato percorso dall’autore con l’intento di relazionare in maniera efficace le caratteristiche paesaggistiche e tecniche, contestualmente sono state registrate le tracce con strumento gps così da offrire una maggior fruibilità delle informazioni.

According to experts, Lake Como is one of the most acclaimed tourist destinations in the world. Thanks to their geographical position, the favorable climate and the beauty of the environment in which they are immersed, it is difficult to resist the seduction of these places. A true oasis of beauty where history, art, culture, nature and food blend perfectly to create a unique harmony. The profiles of the mountains that sink directly into the lake and the changing seasons, marked by colors and customs, instill a feeling of peace and sweet nostalgia. A feeling that must be captured at the slow pace of walking. This is what the author proposes in the selection of 60 hiking itineraries in the so-called Western Lario area. This shore includes a mountainous area identified by natural and political borders: to the east the Lake, to the west Switzerland, from south to north the city of Como, up to the border of the province itself in the municipality of Sorico. In a territory that extends from the Como-Luganean Prealps to the extreme eastern sector of the Lepontine Alps, the excursions range from 200m of the lake to 2400m of Sasso Canale. The itineraries are proposed in numerical sequence, from south to north, so as to allow immediate consultation. Each individual itinerary was followed by the author with the intent of effectively relating the landscape and technical characteristics, at the same time the tracks were recorded with a GPS instrument so as to offer greater usability of the information.
