Sono 11 tappe per un paesaggio che non annoia mai: durante il percorso, la bellezza delle città d’arte lungo il Po lascia spazio alle montagne del Parco nazionale dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano e infine alle dolci colline della Garfagnana. Arrivati a Lucca, si può proseguire sulla Via Francigena. Un itinerario sulle tracce di una delle figure femminili più importanti del Medioevo. A medieval-themed pilgrimage route that passes through the lands of the powerful feudal lord Matilda: Mantua and Canossa, all the way to the Tuscan parish churches and the Crucifix of the Holy Face in Lucca, one of the most venerated relics of the Middle Ages. There are 11 stages through a never-ending landscape: along the route, the beauty of the art cities along the Po River gives way to the mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park and, finally, the rolling hills of Garfagnana. Once in Lucca, you can continue along the Via Francigena. This itinerary follows the footsteps of one of the most important female figures of the Middle Ages.
