The second stretch of the Via Francigena is just over 350 kilometers long. From Fidenza you cross the Apennines at the Cisa pass, then you cross Lunigiana, Versilia, Lucchesia, Val d’Elsa to finally arrive in the rolling hills of the Siena area. It is a varied and remarkable route, which ranges from terraced vineyards to Apennine woods, from archaeological areas to wonderful medieval cities.
