Description

HIKING GUIDE

– Quattro tappe lungo la dorsale più interna;
– Due tappe attraverso la riserva del Bosco di Santo Pietro;

From the cobalt blue of the Sicilian Sea to the slopes of Etna, black and green of rock and woods, for a journey that links water and fire.

We start from the Valley of the Temples and follow the coast to the plain of Gela, where the white stork nests.

Then we explore the hinterland: Caltagirone with its ceramics, the baroque Militello and the Greek Lentini, to look out over the Ionian Sea in Catania.

From here we proceed towards the Norman castles of Paternò, Bronte and Maniace, up to Randazzo, in the presence of the highest volcano in Italy.

With all the information to set out on the journey, detailed cartography, altimetry, altitude differences, places to sleep, a description of the route and the places to visit.

A route enriched by three variants: for the innermost ridge, through the Bosco di Santo Pietro reserve and towards Ragusa and Noto in the lands of Sicilian Baroque.

A route enriched by three variants:
– Four stages along the innermost ridge;
– Two stages through the Bosco di Santo Pietro reserve;
– A week at a time in Ragusa and Noto in the lands of Sicilian Baroque.
