An unexpected journey where the Alps meet the sea, a five-day ring around the two highest peaks of the Ligurian mountains: Marguareis and Mongioie. It is the proposal contained in this guide, to discover an area home to a Natural Park, which protects, thanks to a special microclimate, a floristic heritage of exceptional value, with many rare botanical species, and a large wildlife. But it is the particular karst environment that makes the places captivating and unforgettable, with white rocks sculpted by the water, sinkholes, sinkholes, ephemeral lakes. And then what we don't see, hidden inside it, beneath the surface: an intricate network of waterways, underground lakes, siphons, the origin of waterfalls that flow between the rocks for only a few days a year, as if by magic . Five days stopping in welcoming refuges, always far from inhabited centers, among enchanted woods, high pastures, peaks with a Dolomite flavour. A journey that transports you to remote times, to a territory still untouched by mass tourism. A ride through pristine valleys, passes and panoramic peaks, where the view extends from the sea to the Rosa glaciers.
