Die abwechslungsreichen Touren sprechen sowohl Tages- als auch Halbtageswanderer an. Für Familien mit Kindern gibt es gemütliche Spaziergänge mit Spielmöglichkeiten. Nahezu alle Touren sind Rundwanderungen, die sich sowohl mit dem Auto als auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen lassen.

Erzgebirgische Traditionen wie die Schnitzkunst und der Bergbau sorgen in zahlreichen Museen, Schlössern und Burgen auch nach der Wanderung für Unterhaltung. Das Erzgebirge ist preiswert und nah, die regionale Küche deftig und gut. Auch im Hochsommer ist es im Erzgebirge nicht zu heiß zum Wandern!

From the German side, the mountains rise gently to the south and drop sharply on the Czech side. Lovers of steep paths will therefore get their money's worth on the hikes from the Bohemian side, while the ascents from the German side will be much gentler. The varied tours appeal to both day and half-day hikers. For families with children there are leisurely walks with opportunities to play. Almost all tours are circular hikes, which can be reached both by car and by public transport.

Ore mountain traditions such as carving and mining provide entertainment in numerous museums, castles and fortresses even after the hike. The Ore Mountains are inexpensive and close, the regional cuisine is hearty and good. Even in high summer, it is not too hot to hike in the Ore Mountains!
