Die Costa Daurada – vergoldete Küste – das heißt Sommer, Sonne, Sand. Die Region im Süden Kataloniens bietet noch mehr: Stille Strände, alte Olivenhaine und ausgedehnte Weinberge finden sich entlang der Küste, unberührte Bergregionen, schroffe Grate und tiefe Schluchten im Hinterland. Die Wanderungen führen in das einsame, gebirgige Hinterland, das mit Kalk- und Sandsteingipfeln beeindruckt und von wo man herrliche Ausblicke auf das Meer hat. Klangvolle Namen wie das Gebirge von Montserrat, der Montsant und die Muntanyes de Prades sind dabei. Wunderbare Wanderungen leiten zu stillen Badebuchten, die man mit etwas Glück ganz für sich allein hat. Auf zypressengesäumten Pfaden, entlang von Trockenmauern und Bewässerungskanälen geht es entlang der Küste und durch mediterrane Kulturlandschaften.

Die meisten Wanderungen sind leicht bis mittelschwierig, aber auch abenteuerlustige Bergwanderer kommen nicht zu kurz.
