The Alte Vie of the Aosta Valley allow you to observe and admire in a close and spectacular way most of the highest peaks of the Alps: the great "giants" of the Western Alps. Specifically, the Alta Via 1 allows you to touch Mont Blanc (4808 m, the highest Alpine elevation), Monte Rosa, the Matterhorn, the Grand Combin, while the Alta Via 2 touches the Gran Paradiso mountain group.
