Già da diversi decenni la Val d’Adige riceve una buona frequentazione sulle pareti che sovrastano il grande fiume. Fino a non molti anni fa, però, gli arrampicatori si soffermavano sulle pareti più incombenti, quelle che, passando in autostrada o sulla statale, attirano l’attenzione degli appassionati. Si tratta delle pareti sul Monte Cimo, sopra il paese di Brentino, dove gli itinerari aperti sono in genere di alto livello. Lo stesso si può dire per le bellissime pareti sulla Chiusa di Ceraino. Il fiume, infatti, quasi alle porte di Verona abbandona la larga vallata per incunearsi in una stretta forra dove le pareti sono praticamente a pelo d’acqua. Anche queste sono state scalate fin dagli anni ‘70.
Stranamente non si è mai data attenzione alle pareti, visibilmente più abbattute quindi più facili, che lambiscono il fiume poco più a sud del Monte Cimo ed esattamente sul Monte Cordespino, sopra il paese di Tessari. Solo da meno di 10 anni a questa parte si è iniziato a valutare che, proprio grazie alla facilità di accesso, di rientro, ma soprattutto di salita, queste pareti avevano la loro ragione di esistere. E così, alpinisti e arrampicatori, soprattutto veronesi, hanno trovato un terreno vergine tutto da esplorare. In pochi anni sono nate decine di vie adatte ai tanti che, per capacità o voglia, si divertono senza particolare stress, diventando ben frequentate anche dai corsi del CAI o delle Guide Alpine.
Questa guida contiene le relazioni di più di 150 vie di bassa e media difficoltà. Gli autori hanno messo il tetto degli itinerari con difficoltà massima di 6b (a parte rari casi), e comunque bene attrezzate, per quelle sportive, o facilmente integrabili per quelle alpinistiche, con accesso e discesa comodi.

For several decades now, the Adige Valley has been well attended on the walls that overlook the great river. Until a few years ago, however, climbers focused on the most looming walls, those that, passing by on the highway or the state road, attract the attention of enthusiasts. These are the walls on Monte Cimo, above the town of Brentino, where the open routes are generally of a high level. The same can be said for the beautiful walls on Chiusa di Ceraino. In fact, the river, almost at the gates of Verona, leaves the wide valley to wedge itself into a narrow gorge where the walls are practically at water level. These too have been climbed since the 1970s.
Strangely, no attention has ever been paid to the walls, visibly more demolished and therefore easier, that lap the river a little further south of Monte Cimo and precisely on Monte Cordespino, above the town of Tessari. Only in the last 10 years has it been considered that, thanks to the ease of access, return, but above all ascent, these walls had their reason to exist. And so, mountaineers and climbers, especially from Verona, have found virgin terrain to explore. In just a few years, dozens of routes have been created, suitable for the many who, due to their ability or desire, enjoy themselves without particular stress, becoming well-attended also by CAI or Alpine Guide courses.
This guide contains the reports of more than 150 routes of low and medium difficulty. The authors have set the ceiling of the itineraries with a maximum difficulty of 6b (except for rare cases), and in any case well-equipped, for sports routes, or easily integrated for mountaineering routes, with comfortable access and descent.
