Mont Blanc, at 4807 m, is the highest mountain in the Alps. At the same time, this volume represents the most important culmination of the Vie Normali Valle d’Aosta series.
The grandeur of its peaks, the extension of its glaciers and the depth of its valleys make Mont Blanc the true mecca of mountaineering. Its conquest, in fact, which took place in 1786, marks the beginning of an activity, that of the exploration of the high lands, which until then had not been developed at all.
An important mountain for the entire movement of mountaineering and hiking lovers. A true land of conquest, recounted in pages and pages of mountaineering adventure books to which are added those of this volume that leads to all the peaks of the group.
The project “Vie Normali Valle d’Aosta” plans to climb all the 1200 normal routes on the peaks of this region, without limits of altitude and hierarchy, and to create a series of 8 volumes, where there will be technical reports, photographs and routes that will describe in detail and precisely the climbs made. A series of 8 hiking-mountaineering guides, updated and all tested “in the field” by the authors.
