86 reports of medium difficulty routes in: Odle-Puez-Putia, Sassolungo, Sella, Catinaccio, Marmolada, Pale di San Martino. This third edition of Dolomiti Occidentali 1 takes the form of an almost completely new volume. The routes have gone from 52 to 86, with 34 new itineraries, many of which have been added thanks to the kind contribution of our friend Luca Brigo (already co-author of the volume Dolomiti Orientali 2). Furthermore, all the details regarding the routes, their development, the equipment present, the accesses and descents have been updated, which, in some cases, have substantially changed compared to the 2011 edition. The result is a new guide in step with the current state of these 86 beautiful climbs. The cut and general organization of the volume is the consolidated one of the volumes of the “Roccia d’Autore” series by Idea Montagna, with the traditional, and apparently appreciated, written report shot by shot, photos with the route and the position of the stops, and detailed instructions for approaches and descent. As always, all the routes have been climbed in person by the author or collaborators.
