Questa guida del Brenta in effetti non è l’unica. È l’ultima di cinque volumi che, attraverso le vie di roccia, ci portano dentro le Dolomiti di Brenta, ce le fa vivere già da seduti con uno dei libri in mano. Certo che l’ideatore è stato veramente un Grande, perché, oltre a cercare, cosa non facile, tutte le vie delle decine di cime e pareti, ha contattato e incontrato gli apritori. E ha discusso con loro. Non credo sia stata una “cosa” facile, conoscendo bene gli alpinisti trentini, e non. Fare le foto, disegnare quelli che chiamiamo noi “gli schizzi”, e stendere le relazioni. Un lavoro titanico. Già da più di dieci anni si parlava della nuova guida del Brenta. Francesco, grazie alla sua ostinazione e determinazione, le stesse che si usano in parete, è riuscito a completare un’opera monumentale, punto di riferimento per tutti gli alpinisti. This Brenta guide is in fact not the only one. It is the last of five volumes that, through the rock routes, take us into the Brenta Dolomites, making us experience them already sitting with one of the books in hand. And he discussed with them. I do not think it was an easy “thing”, knowing the Trentino mountaineers well, and not only. Taking the photos, drawing what we call “the sketches”, and writing the reports. A titanic job. For more than ten years there had already been talk of the new Brenta guide. Francesco, thanks to his obstinacy and determination, the same ones used on the wall, managed to complete a monumental work, a point of reference for all mountaineers.
