Guía en la que se reseñan las vías de escalada más interesantes abiertas hasta la fecha de publicación (verano del 2005) en Los Picos de Europa y la Cordillera Cantábrica. 1200 rutas entre vías largas y pequeñas vías deportivas. Muchas son grandes clásicas y otras lo serán en el futuro, todas ellas recomendables por su gran belleza y por el entorno en que se desarrollan.

En esta obra se citan los lugares y las personas que han configurado la historia de la escalada en las montañas del noroeste peninsular, a la vez que se dan los datos técnicos necesarios para llevar a buen término las escaladas: material necesario, horarios, dificultad, etc. También se ofrecen otros datos complementarios tales como los accesos a las zonas de escalada, albergues, refugios y sus aproximaciones etc.

Formato 21x15 centímetros, encuadernación en rústica, 496 páginas a todo color con 200 fotografías, 222 croquis y un mapa general en el que se sitúan todas las zonas de escalada reseñadas.

In this work, the places and people that have shaped the history of climbing in the mountains of the northwest of the peninsula are cited, at the same time that the technical data necessary to carry out the climbs is given: necessary material, schedules, difficulty, etc. Other complementary data are also offered such as access to climbing areas, shelters, shelters and their approaches, etc.
