Guía en la que se reseñan las vías de escalada invernales más interesantes abiertas hasta la fecha de publicación (invierno de 2010) en Los Picos de Europa y la Cordillera Cantábrica. Muchas son rutas ya clásicas y otras lo serán en el futuro, todas ellas recomendables por su belleza y por el entorno en que se desarrollan. En esta obra se citan los lugares y las personas que han configurado la historia de la escalada invernal en las montañas del noroeste peninsular, a la vez que se dan los datos técnicos necesarios para llevar a buen término las escaladas: material necesario, horarios, dificultad, etc. También se ofrecen en esta guía otros datos complementarios tales como albergues, refugios y sus aproximaciones etc.

Guide that outlines the most interesting winter climbing routes open up to the date of publication (winter 2010) in the Picos de Europa and the Cantabrian Mountains. Many are already classic routes and others will be in the future, all of them recommended for their beauty and the environment in which they take place. This work cites the places and people who have shaped the history of winter climbing in the mountains of the northwest of the peninsula, while giving the necessary technical data to carry out the climbs: necessary material, schedules, difficulty , etc. Other complementary data such as hostels, refuges and their approaches etc. are also offered in this guide.
