Who better than Matteo Della Bordella could take up the baton left by Aristide Quaglia and Fulvia Mangili, authors of the first edition of Climbing in Switzerland? Published in 2004 and out of print for several years, this guide includes a selection of climbing routes of all difficulties, from easy to extreme on the most important walls in all of Switzerland, and some suggestions for beautiful cliffs that are destinations in themselves or a compendium of long routes. The author's personal experience, having repeated numerous routes among those reported, combined with constant comparison with friends and local climbers, has allowed us to have up-to-date and precise information on the areas taken into consideration. An important part of the work concerns the walls of Wenden and Rätikon, the author's favorite terrains of action, who in this guide and for the first time in Italy wanted to describe routes that were previously unknown and of great beauty, placing this collection at the forefront in terms of completeness and precision. Here too, as in other recent guides, space has been given to people and stories. Some of the main protagonists of the area or simply friends and climbing companions, were interviewed to tell their passion linked to the territory examined.
