Il ghiaccio ha sempre attratto gli alpinisti. I grandi scivoli, i profondi canaloni, le seraccate e le esili goulottes catturano lo sguardo con le loro forme eleganti e sembrano suggerire percorsi, linee di salita perfette tracciate dalla natura stessa.
Questa seconda edizione aggiorna la precedente, uscita nel 2017. In sette anni la montagna è infatti fortemente cambiata, i ghiacciai si sono ridimensionati e le vie di ghiaccio hanno quindi subito delle variazioni, anche considerevoli, soprattutto in corrispondenza degli attacchi. Doverosi quindi gli aggiornamenti nelle relazioni. Assieme ai tagli intervenuti sulle vie ormai non più percorribili, l’autore ha voluto però dare una nota positiva aggiungendo itinerari, in genere poco frequentati.

Questa guida insostituibile illustra, con relazioni dettagliate, fotografie e tracce, 115 vie di ghiaccio dalle Alpi Liguri e Marittime al Grossglockner, passando per Monviso, Delfinato, Gran Paradiso, Monte Bianco, Gran Combin, Monte Rosa, Mischabel, Alpi Bernesi, Gruppo del Bernina, Alpi Orobie, Ortles-Cevedale, Adamello-Presanella, Zillertal, Dolomiti e Alti Tauri.

Ice has always attracted climbers. The large slides, deep gullies, seracs and slender goulottes capture the eye with their elegant shapes and seem to suggest routes, perfect climbing lines traced by nature itself.
This second edition updates the previous one, published in 2017. In seven years the mountain has in fact changed greatly, the glaciers have shrunk in size and the ice routes have therefore undergone variations, even considerable ones, especially at the start points. Updates in the reports are therefore necessary. Along with the cuts made to the routes that are no longer passable, the author wanted to give a positive note by adding itineraries, generally not very popular.
