The second volume dedicated to the Ortles-Cevedale group focuses on the main peaks of this magnificent mountain area. After having reviewed, in volume 1, Monte Cevedale and all the numerous peaks around it, this volume takes into consideration the Ortles, the highest peak, and the Gran Zebrù, probably the most beautiful and impervious. The entire area is famous for wide-ranging mountaineering, where the glaciers, although reduced due to climate change, remain the protagonists for the long and magnificent ascents. The entire area of Cima Vertana, another pearl of the group, completes the volume.
