Seit 2010 verbindet ein abwechslungsreicher Radfernweg die drei sehenswerte Städte, von denen jede ihren ganz eigenen Reiz hat: München, die bayerische Hauptstadt mit Herz, mit ihrem weitläufigen Englischen Garten und der einladenden Fußgängerzone, die alte Reichsstadt Regensburg am Ufer der Donau, die dank ihrer historischen Bauwerke wie dem Dom oder der Steinernen Brücke zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO zählt, und das am Ufer der Moldau gelegene Prag, die Goldene Stadt mit ihrer einzigartigen Altstadt. Zwischen diesen drei europäischen Metropolen führt der reizvolle Radweg durch verschiedenste Landschaftsformen und fast durchgehend in idyllischen Flusstälern. Von München verläuft die Route am Ufer der Isar nach Freising, von wo es dann auf dem Abens-Radweg bis zur Donau geht. Dort lässt sich beim Kloster Weltenburg ein Blick auf den beeindruckenden Donaudurchbruch werfen, ehe man auf dem Donau-Radweg nach Regensburg kommt. Im Anschluss leitet der Regental-Radweg am Ufer des gleichnamigen Flusses in Richtung Landesgrenze, bevor es schließlich am Ufer des Chamb in das von den Bergen des Bayerischen und des Oberpfälzischen Waldes umrankte Städtchen Furth im Wald geht. Wenig später ist die deutsch-tschechische Grenze überschritten und es kommen immer wieder teils kräftezehrende Steigungen vor. Entlohnt für diese Mühen wird man mit schönen Ausblicken über die Hügel und mit sehenswerten Städten, die mit Schlössern und malerischen Marktplätzen zu einer Erkundung locken. Ein kulturelles Highlight auf dem Weg nach Prag stellt Plz?n mit seiner traditionsreichen Brauerei und der mächtigen Bartholomäus-Kathedrale dar. Am Rande des Gebirgszuges Brdy und durch das schöne Tal der Berounka erreicht man schließlich Prag, wo es am Ufer der Moldau entlang ins Zentrum geht.

Die Gesamtlänge des Hauptradweges beträgt rund 482 Kilometer. Die Varianten und Ausflüge haben eine Länge von 46 Kilometern.

Since 2010, a varied cycle route has linked the three remarkable cities, each of which has its own special charm: Munich, the Bavarian capital with a heart, with its extensive English garden and the inviting pedestrian zone, the old imperial city of Regensburg on the banks of the Danube, which thanks to its historic buildings such as the cathedral or the stone bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Prague, on the banks of the Vltava, the Golden City with its unique old town. Between these three European metropolises, the delightful cycle path leads through a wide variety of landscapes and almost all of the time in idyllic river valleys. From Munich the route runs along the banks of the Isar to Freising, from where it then takes the Abens cycle path to the Danube. There you can take a look at the impressive breakthrough of the Danube at Weltenburg Abbey before coming to Regensburg on the Danube Cycle Path. The Regental cycle path then leads along the banks of the river of the same name in the direction of the state border, before finally going on the banks of the Chamb into the town of Furth im Wald, which is surrounded by the mountains of the Bavarian and Upper Palatinate Forest. A little later the German-Czech border was crossed and there are always exhausting climbs. You will be rewarded for this effort with beautiful views over the hills and with remarkable cities that tempt you to explore with castles and picturesque marketplaces. A cultural highlight on the way to Prague is Plz? N with its traditional brewery and the mighty Bartholomew's Cathedral. On the edge of the Brdy mountain range and through the beautiful Berounka valley you finally reach Prague, where it runs along the Vltava river into the center goes.
