R1 – quer durch Europa
Mit diesem Radtourenbuch wird der zentrale Teil einer mehr als 3.500 Kilometer langen Radroute durch 9 europäische Länder von Boulogne-sur-Mer an der Französischen Kanalküste
bis St.Petersburg in Russland in der für Radtouristen bewährten Form grenzüberschreitend dargestellt. Der Europa-Radweg R1 oder auch EURO-ROUTE R1 genannt – quer durch Deutschland, Polen und Estland als „R1“ einheitlich ausgeschildert, mit dem LF4 und LF1 im Westen verknüpft
und auch im Baltikum seit 2010 bis St. Petersburg fortsetzbar – lehnt sich an den Verlauf der seit zwei Jahrtausenden gewachsenen längsten, vor allem im 20. Jahrhundert zeitweise
unterbrochenen, Straße quer durch Europa an. Sie ist Symbol für den Zusammenhang eines großen Teils europäischer Kultur.
Das in diesem Buch beschriebene Teilstück des Europa-Radwegs misst von der Centraalstation (Hauptbahnhof) Arnheim bis zur Grenze nach Polen bei Küstrin-Kietz rund 1.086 Kilometer.
Die zahlreichen Ausflüge und Varianten haben eine Länge von 335 Kilometern.

This cycle tour book becomes the central part of a more than 3,500 km long cycle route through 9 European countries from Boulogne-sur-Mer on the French Channel coast
