La Ciclovia del Sole è il progetto nato nel 1991 grazie alla FIAB (Federazione Italiana Ambiente e Bicicletta) che prevede un percorso per ciclisti lungo tutta l’Italia, dal Brennero alla Sicilia. Rispetto alla prima edizione la presente guida comprende corridoi che sono stati arricchiti di infrastrutture ciclabili di qualità ovvero in destra e sinistra Adige a monte di Verona, il canale Biffis e il tratto da Mirandola a Bologna recuperato dal vecchio sedime ferroviario della Bologna Verona. Il resto del percorso è costituito dalla “storica” Mantova - Peschiera, dove tutto è cominciato, dall’argine del fiume Secchia e da tratti dell’argine del Po.
Nella guida si trovano anche le informazioni essenziali sui servizi per il ciclista e nelle mappe sono riportate le caratteristiche del sedime (asfalto sì/no, ciclabile sì/no). 

The Ciclovia del Sole is a project born in 1991 thanks to FIAB (Italian Federation of Environment and Bicycles) that provides a route for cyclists along the whole of Italy, from Brenner to Sicily. Compared to the first edition, this guide includes corridors that have been enriched with quality cycling infrastructures, namely on the right and left Adige upstream of Verona, the Biffis canal and the section from Mirandola to Bologna recovered from the old railway bed of the Bologna Verona. The rest of the route is made up of the "historic" Mantua - Peschiera, where it all began, from the embankment of the Secchia river and sections of the embankment of the Po.
The guide also contains essential information on services for cyclists and the maps show the characteristics of the bed (asphalt yes/no, cycle path yes/no).
