VON TARVISIO ÜBER TRIEST UND VENEDIG NACH RAVENNA

Aus einem Interreg-Projekt entstand zu Beginn der 2010er Jahre ein gemeinsames Projekt zwischen Slowenien und Italien. Entwickelt wurde eine Radroute, die vom italienischen Tarvisio nahe der österreichischen Grenze, und mit Anschluss zum beliebten Alpe-Adria-Radweg, durch die Julischen Alpen in den Tälern von Save und So?a/Isonzo und in Folge über den slowenischen Karst bis zur slowenischen Adriaküste zwischen Koper und Piran führt. 
Ab hier macht der Radweg seinem Namen alle Ehre und geleitet die Radler parallel zur adriatischen Küstenlinie entweder etwas im Hinterland oder direkt an der Küste von Triest über die Ferienorte der Oberen Adria bis ins schöne Venedig. Hier teilt sich die Route und ermöglicht eine küstennahe Fahrt über den Lido und Pellestrina nach Chioggia oder einen Abstecher ins venetische Hinterland über Padova und die Thermenlandschaft der Euganeischen Hügel – Abano, Montegrotto, Battaglia Terme. 
Der Weg nach Süden bis in die Region Emilia-Romagna mit dem sehenswerten Ziel Ravenna ist geprägt von der naturnahen Landschaft des Podeltas und den touristisch anmutenden Küstenorten mit den langen Sandstränden zwischen Lido di Volano und Marina di Ravenna. 

Die Gesamtlänge der kürzeren Hauptroute über den Lido di Venezia beträgt rund 795 Kilometer. Die parallele Route über Padova etwas abseits der Küste ist mit 890 Kilometern um 100 Kilometer länger. Die verschiedenen Ausflüge, Varianten oder Verbindungsstrecken sind hierbei nicht mitgerechnet.

At the beginning of the 2010s, an Interreg project resulted in a joint project between Slovenia and Italy. A cycle route was developed, from the Italian Tarvisio near the Austrian border, and with connection to the popular Alpe-Adria cycle path, through the Julian Alps in the valleys of Save and So? A / Isonzo and subsequently over the Slovenian Karst to the Slovenian Adriatic coast between Koper and Piran leads.
From here, the bike path lives up to its name and leads the cyclists parallel to the Adriatic coastline either a little in the hinterland or directly on the coast of Trieste via the holiday resorts of the Upper Adriatic to beautiful Venice. The route divides here and enables a coastal ride over the Lido and Pellestrina to Chioggia or a detour to the Venetian hinterland via Padova and the thermal landscape of the Euganean Hills - Abano, Montegrotto, Battaglia Terme.
The route south to the Emilia-Romagna region with the destination Ravenna worth seeing is characterized by the natural landscape of the Podeltas and the touristy coastal towns with the long sandy beaches between Lido di Volano and Marina di Ravenna.
The total length of the shorter main route via the Lido di Venezia is around 795? Kilometers. The parallel route via Padova somewhat off the coast is 890 kilometers and 100 kilometers longer. The different excursions, variants or connecting routes are not counted here.
